DIVE IN (DMB)
with a sign that read 'will work for food'.
Tried to look busy, 'til the light turned green...
I saw a bear on TV and his friends were all drowning
cause their homes were turning to water...
A strange, kinda sad, big old bear
surely would happily eat me
he'd tear me to pieces that bear...
Wake up, sleepy head.
I think the suns a little brighter today
Smile and watch the icicles melt away and see the water rising...
Summers here to stay, and all those summer games will last forever
Go down to the shore, kick off your shoes, dive in the empty ocean.
Tell me everything will be OK if I just stay on my knees and keep praying
believing in something...
Tell me everything is all taken care of by those qualified to take care of it all.
Wake up sleepy head
I think the suns a little brighter today
Smile and watch the icicles melt away and see the waters rising...
Summers here to stay, and that sweet summer breeze will blow forever
Go down to the shore, kick off your shoes, dive in the empty ocean.
One day, do you think we'll wake up in a world on it's way to getting better?
and if so can you tell me...
how?
I have been thinking that lately the blood is increasing
the tourniquets not keeping hold in spite of our twisting
though we would like to beleive we are
we are not in control
though we would love to believe
Wake up sleepy head
I think the suns a little brighter today
Smile and watch the icicles melt away and see the water rising...
Summers here to stay, and those sweet summer girls will dance forever
Go down to the shore, kick off your shoes, dive in the empty ocean.

A Wish for Something More (Amy Macdonald)
A Wish For Something More - Amy Macdonald
Oh the sun is shining far too bright
For it to still be night
Oh the air feels so cold
So cold and old
How can it be light
Oh let's take a walk outside
See the world through each other's eyes
I wish I was your only one
I think you're beautiful but your hair is a mess
And your shoes are untied, but that's what I love best
And I, I wish I was the one
You lonely, lonely son
And you looked at me that way
I wish for long lingering glances
Fairytale romances every single day
And you look at me and say
I'm your best friend every day
But I wish for something, wish for something more
Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend
How I wish for something, wish for something more
Oh the grass is so green
But I can't see anything, past your eyes
I'm fixated on your smile
Your cherry lips make life worthwhile
I'm thinking these things
What I'm trying to say is
Life gets in my way
Every single day
And I, I wish I was the one
You lonely, lonely son
And you looked at me that way
I wish for long lingering glances
Fairytale romances every single day
And you look at me and say
I'm your best friend every day
But I wish for something, wish for something more
Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend
How I wish for something, wish for something more
Now the sun is fading and the rain is coming down
And I'm looking at your face but your looking at the ground
I see diamonds in your dreams I see pearls around your neck
I see everything that's beautiful, everything that's beautiful
I wish I was the one
You lonely, lonely son
And you looked at me that way
I wish for long lingering glances
Fairytale romances every single day
And you look at me and say
I'm your best friend every day
But I wish for something, wish for something more
Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend
How I wish for something, wish for something more
Huge fan of this lovely lady!

She's Leaving Home (The Beatles)
enjoy!
Wednesday morning at five o'clock as the day begins
Silently closing her bedroom door
Leaving the note that she hoped would say more
She goes downstairs to the kitchen clutching her handkerchief Quietly turning the back door key
Stepping outside she is free
She (we gave her most of our lives)
is leaving (sacrificed most of our lives)
home (we gave her everything money could buy)
She's leaving home after living alone for so many years
(bye bye)
Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing gown
Picks up the letter that's lying there
Standing alone at the top of the stairs
She breaks down and cries to her husband
Daddy our baby's gone
Why would she treat us so thoughtlessly
How could she do this to me
She (We never thought of ourselves)
is leaving (never a thought for ourselves)
home (we struggled hard all our lives to get by)
She's leaving home after living alone for so many years
(bye bye)
Friday morning at nine o'clock she is far away
Waiting to keep the appointment she made
Meeting a man from the motor trade
She (what did we do that was wrong)
is having (we didn't know it was wrong)
fun (fun is the one thing that money can't buy)
Something inside that was always denied for so many years
(bye bye)
She's leaving home
(bye bye)
